Why join Rotary?
Rotary is a global network of 1.2 million neighbors, friends, leaders, and problem-solvers who see a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change – across the globe, in our communities, and in ourselves.

Rotary is non-political and non-religious and open to all cultures, races and creeds.  It is the oldest service organization in the world, founded in 1905.  There are over 34,000 Rotary clubs in over 150 countries. Rotary's motto is SERVICE ABOVE SELF.

Being a Rotarian means:
  • Joining a family you meet with weekly
  • Doing good both in Fair Oaks and around the world
  • Having fun while doing it
  • Networking around the world with people of your profession or interests
Our club was founded in 1946 and is one of 40 clubs in Rotary District 5180, which stretches from Oroville to Walnut Grove, and from West Sacramento to El Dorado Hills.  We were named the District's best club in our size category from 2010-13, and in 2013 we were named the #1 club in the District.
