Brings Record Donation for Polio Eradication
As Rotarians kept attendees at this year's Chicken Festival well hydrated with water (and adult beverages), Bella Vista Interact Club members educated festival-goers about polio, painted pinkies purple (like happens to kids who were given vaccine drops during mass vaccination campaigns in developing countries) and collected donations for polio eradication, Rotary's corporate project since 1985. Since this was the first time they had done something like this, it was bound to be a record, but this record might stand. In four hours, they raised $636 and change!
